Winners are awaiting judges' decisions on progression to the national finals, where the top eight from regional qualifiers across the country will compete from November 17 to 19 at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes.
The college has a strong track record in SkillBuild. In 2022, apprentice Zara Dupont won first place in Plastering and Drywall Systems; in 2023, three students won medals; in 2024, four students made the podium; and last year, two apprentices won the national finals, taking first and second place in the Roof Slating and Tiling category.
