en.Wedoany.com Reported - Google has announced that Gemini is now available on Chrome browsers in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. This AI browser feature is now accessible in nearly all global regions, with Europe being the main exception.

Gemini serves as a personalized browsing assistant, supporting tasks such as summarizing content and comparing information across multiple tabs. The feature is integrated with apps like Calendar, Maps, and Gmail, helping automate daily tasks, such as drafting emails or viewing location details.

Users in these new regions can enable the service directly via the "Ask Gemini" icon in the upper right corner of the browser, which opens a Gemini chat sidebar alongside all open tabs. Users can also access Google's internal image generator, Nano Banana 2. Through app integration, users can ask Gemini to add events to the calendar or plan routes in Maps.

Due to strict GDPR regulations, Gemini and other Google AI features in Chrome have not yet entered the European market. Any AI that reads browser data requires a highly secure version that keeps user data within the EU. However, some users have reported that the feature is available in the Chrome Canary beta version, and it is expected to launch soon in EU countries such as Germany and France.
