Wedoany.com Report-Feb 27, Jolywood, a Chinese company specializing in photovoltaic modules, has launched a new glass-backsheet n-type bifacial TOPCon solar module designed for harsh climate conditions. Announced on February 27, 2025, the Windproof Module features a reinforced steel frame made with zinc-aluminum-magnesium surface alloy technology and a high-strength steel base. The company states this design provides notable durability, corrosion resistance, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures.

The Windproof Module

In a statement, Jolywood noted: “The frame is 50% stronger than traditional aluminum frames, providing superior resistance to wind and snow loads.” This enhanced structure aims to ensure reliability in challenging weather environments. The module comes in five variants, offering power outputs from 570 W to 595 W, with power conversion efficiencies ranging from 22.07% to 23.03%. Its open-circuit voltage spans 51.17 V to 52.17 V, and the short-circuit current ranges from 13.76 A to 14.06 A.

The panel dimensions are 2,278 mm by 1,134 mm by 29 mm, with a weight of 28 kg. It incorporates 2.0-3.2 mm tempered glass and a junction box rated IP68 for weather resistance. The module supports a system voltage of 1,500 V and operates in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C, with a temperature coefficient of -0.30% per degree Celsius. These specifications highlight its adaptability to diverse conditions.

Jolywood provides a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year power output guarantee, ensuring 87.4% of the initial yield over that period. The company emphasized: “The module is burstproof, ensuring stable operation even in the most challenging environments.” It also claims a 1.63% increase in energy yield due to the design improvements. This product targets regions prone to severe weather, offering a robust solution for solar energy generation.

The Windproof Module’s bifacial TOPCon technology allows it to capture sunlight from both sides, enhancing output efficiency. Its reinforced frame and high-strength materials aim to extend the lifespan and performance of the panel under wind and snow pressure. Jolywood’s focus on durability and energy yield positions this module as a practical option for solar installations facing demanding climates.
