en.Wedoany.com Reported - NEC Corporation announced on June 11 that it will collaborate with Anthropic of the United States and eight financial institutions to launch discussions and co-creation initiatives aimed at generating new value through AI. Starting with the financial industry, the partnership will promote the application and implementation of highly reliable AI, with the goal of realizing an AI co-creation society.
The participating financial institutions include MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Sumitomo Life Insurance, Daiwa Securities Group Headquarters, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, and Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance.
The initiatives will advance discussions around three pillars: improving the quality of financial services through AI adoption, providing new added value to users and enhancing user experience; streamlining business processes and reforming operations centered on office work to boost productivity; and strengthening the security environment through cloud migration of corporate internal systems and modernization of aging IT infrastructure. NEC and Anthropic began a strategic partnership in April to expand AI applications in Japan's corporate sector. This has already advanced the joint development of industry-specific AI solutions and the integration of Claude into "BluStellar Scenario," NEC's solution suite for addressing client challenges.
