en.Wedoany.com Reported - Honda has launched an app called "Honda Trail Experience (HTX)," available for free download on the Apple App Store. When using Apple CarPlay, the app can be accessed on the vehicle's infotainment display, collecting and recording 11 key data points directly from the vehicle, while displaying six of them.

Key data tracked by the app includes the vehicle's pitch angle, roll angle, wheel angle, throttle position, and brake pressure. During development, Honda gathered feedback from over 1,500 Passport TrailSport owners. The app also records external temperature, longitude, and latitude, and stores all data on an interactive off-road map. Owners can also use their iPhone to shoot videos and document their off-road experiences.

The app's video function can be controlled via the infotainment screen. Owners can mount their iPhone on the exterior of the vehicle and record footage from inside the cabin. Other users within range can also use a synced iPhone to record videos, overlaying key data points and the off-road map.
Omar Saleh, project lead for the HTX app at Honda R&D Americas, stated that the app provides TrailSport owners with real-time vehicle data, intuitive navigation tools, and video sharing features, helping them gain more insights from every off-road journey. Previously, Honda launched the LogR app for the Civic Type R, which records vehicle telemetry and track data.
