en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's SenseTime and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation recently signed a memorandum of cooperation to engage in strategic collaboration on AI computing infrastructure and the AI industry ecosystem.

According to the agreement, the two parties plan to advance the construction of domestic AI computing infrastructure in Hong Kong, with a target to achieve a computing scale exceeding 40,000P (PetaFLOPS) by 2030, building it into the largest domestically produced AI computing center in Hong Kong. The project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase expected to be completed within this year.

This AI computing center will serve as a core AI infrastructure supporting the era of large models, providing high-performance computing support for various industries, accelerating the application deployment of Hong Kong's AI industry, and enhancing Hong Kong's competitiveness in global technological innovation and artificial intelligence.

The center will be equipped with a diversified cluster of domestically produced GPU computing units, capable of providing efficient and stable computing support for enterprises in different scenarios such as model training, inference, and large-scale application deployment. Through deep synergy between computing power, models, and applications, the center is expected to help Hong Kong create more AI application benchmarks in high-value scenarios such as finance, education, healthcare, urban governance, smart office, and content generation.
