The release comes as Oracle customers face severe security challenges, with attackers continuously targeting vulnerabilities in Oracle database products. Meanwhile, Oracle has expressed concern over security threats posed by the AI vulnerability discovery model Mythos. In May of this year, Oracle adjusted its patch release cycle from quarterly to monthly to address the growing AI-driven cybersecurity threats. The first monthly patch batch fixed 35 vulnerabilities, 11 of which were rated as critical.

According to Oracle, Security Central helps security teams assess security posture, detect configuration drift, identify privileged users and access risks, while monitoring access to sensitive data and collecting audit evidence. The tool also centralizes security policy management, preventing policy discrepancies that could expose enterprises to risk.
