IonQ Signs $8.18 Million Quantum-Safe Networking Agreement with Congruity360

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 8, IonQ signed a commercial agreement valued at $8.18 million with Congruity360, an enterprise unstructured data management company, to deploy quantum-safe networking within the Congruity360 enterprise data management platform. IonQ will provide Clavis Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) devices and the Solteris Network Appliance, integrated with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), to protect enterprise data transmitted by Congruity360 customers between different locations within the United States.

This deployment adopts a combined QKD and PQC architecture. The paired Clavis QKD devices provided by IonQ are used to generate and distribute quantum keys, while the Solteris Network Appliance handles network-side key management and encrypted access. The relevant equipment will be integrated into Congruity360's existing data governance platform, covering data transmission across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments.

Congruity360's platform primarily serves customers in finance, healthcare, insurance, legal services, manufacturing, defense, and higher education, handling unstructured data at scales up to petabytes. This agreement covers security protection for data transmitted between different facilities and network nodes, with IonQ integrating quantum key distribution hardware and post-quantum encryption technologies into a unified network deployment.

IonQ has already deployed related technologies in multiple quantum-safe networking projects. In 2026, the company advanced a statewide quantum-safe network project with Florida LambdaRail and completed a quantum-resistant network upgrade with Cisco in Switzerland; IonQ has also deployed QKD networks in Europe. This Congruity360 agreement represents a new quantum network deployment contract in the commercial enterprise data management scenario.
