en.Wedoany.com Reported - Deloitte and Google Cloud have jointly opened an artificial intelligence studio in London, providing UK enterprises with rapid prototyping and validation services for Agentic AI.

The studio will serve as a customer engagement venue and delivery mechanism, enabling clients to prototype and validate Agentic AI solutions within four weeks. Agentic AI is regarded by the industry as the next phase of AI development, where systems can not only answer questions but also trigger actions, coordinate workflows, and operate autonomously across software environments. Deloitte stated that it will host innovation labs here, but there remains a significant gap between working prototypes and governed production systems, which require integration with identity controls, business rules, audit logs, data protection requirements, and operational support.
Through this collaboration, Google Cloud gains access to more corporate boards and has a large pool of consultants trained in Gemini Enterprise. Deloitte plans to have 1,000 of its UK AI and data employees certified on Google Cloud Platform, providing Google Cloud with more implementation pathways in enterprise AI projects.
The new studio will focus on sectors such as public sector, financial services, retail, consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, as well as technology, media, and telecommunications. These industries have extensive process systems, heavy compliance obligations, and customer-facing operational workflows where automation can quickly create value. Applications in retail may be easier to explain, such as moving beyond chatbots into systems that support merchandise management, customer service, inventory signals, and journey orchestration. The healthcare sector is more sensitive, involving clinical data, regulatory processes, and liability issues. Hayley McKelvey, Chief AI Officer at Deloitte UK, stated that this investment revolves around AI clients seeking systems that can take action and deliver business outcomes.
This partnership also demonstrates how the AI services market is coalescing around major cloud providers and leading consulting firms. Google Cloud provides the platform and model environment, while Deloitte offers implementation capabilities, industry packaging, and executive confidence. Clients gain faster experimentation paths but also face narrower architectural default options. For enterprises operating multi-cloud environments or subject to strict data residency and procurement rules, the situation is more complex. Maureen Costello, Vice President for Google Cloud in the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa, noted that UK organizations are moving AI initiatives into production, but progress is uneven, with many companies still lacking clean data foundations, reliable process documentation, AI governance models, and internal skills.
As a hub for technology procurement in finance, professional services, medical research, media, and the public sector, the physical AI studio allows Deloitte and Google Cloud to bring together executives, technical teams, and industry experts in the same space. Agentic systems may amplify issues such as poor data, unclear permissions, weak security, and insufficient process understanding. In public services and healthcare, accountability will be a core issue; in financial services, regulators will expect explainability, controls, and evidence that automation does not create hidden operational risks. Agentic AI is not just about helping employees work faster but also about automating parts of business processes, which will impact job design, outsourcing models, and consulting economics.
