en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian gold exploration company Amara Minerals (ASX:AM3) has completed its initial diamond drilling program at the Lauriston antimony-gold project in central Victoria.

The company completed a total of 3,907.5 meters of drilling, targeting the Comet and Yankee/Trojan prospects within the project area. Eight holes were drilled at the Comet prospect for 1,852.7 meters, and 12 holes were completed at the Yankee/Trojan prospect for 2,054.8 meters. This drilling campaign commenced in October 2025, with the final meterage exceeding the original planned target of 3,000 meters.

Assay results are still pending for holes AY2611 and AY2612 at the Trojan prospect, and holes AC2601 and AC2602 at the Comet prospect. The drill rig will be mobilized to the Apollo project following the completion of the Phase 1 drilling at Lauriston. Drilling at Apollo is intended to provide additional infill drilling to support resource estimation and test regional targets.

Historical intercepts from previous explorers at Apollo include: 39.5 meters at 7.25 grams per tonne gold from 118.8 meters, including 10.6 meters at 17.1 grams per tonne gold from 137.85 meters; and 28 meters at 10.2 grams per tonne gold from 138 meters, including 13 meters at 17.5 grams per tonne gold from 139 meters.

Managing Director Ian Holland stated that the received drilling intercepts from Lauriston support the company's geological interpretation of "a large system that remains open along strike and at depth." Holland said that moving the drill rig to Apollo at this time will allow the company to plan next steps and seek statutory approvals for additional drilling at the Lauriston project, while providing more intercept data for resource modeling and estimation at Apollo.

Amara Minerals is focused on advancing two "high-grade" gold-antimony projects located within Victoria's gold belt.
