en.Wedoany.com Reported - Machinarx (CEO Yoon Seong-ho) and the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) are jointly advancing a project to integrate generative AI into the intelligent water purification plant business support system, aiming to enhance AI operation models that can be used at public infrastructure sites.

Machinarx applies its AI operating system (OS) "Runway" (런웨이) to the intelligent water purification plant AI autonomous operation system, helping on-site operators more intuitively understand AI judgment results and efficiently make decisions by referencing operational data and internal documents.

K-water operates AI autonomous operation systems across various processes in 44 water purification plants nationwide, but on-site operators face limitations in verifying the background and basis of AI judgments. To address this, generative AI will be introduced to improve on-site challenges, enhancing trust and effectiveness in AI usage.

Machinarx plans to provide an operational environment integrating technologies such as Large Language Models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Explainable AI (XAI), thereby improving on-site operators' understanding and developing the AI support system into a form usable in actual operations.

This project is noteworthy for laying the foundation for stable use of generative AI in public infrastructure operational environments with high security requirements. The system will be designed to operate independently even in environments disconnected from external internet and cloud services. Machinarx plans to provide a secure generative AI operational environment capable of referencing operational data and internal documents in real time, based on the AI OS "Runway" running on GPU servers introduced at the basin headquarters.

Machinarx CEO Yoon Seong-ho stated that the water industry, where real-time operational data and high security requirements coexist, is a field where the importance of field-applied AI is prominent. Based on the collaboration with K-water, the company will create generative AI application cases that are truly helpful on-site, contributing to the digital transformation of public infrastructure.
