en.Wedoany.com Reported - Eureka, a Norwegian oil industry supplier under the Techouse Group, has secured a contract from Singapore's Yinson Production (a subsidiary of Kuala Lumpur-based energy infrastructure and technology company Yinson) to supply backup generator sets for a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel deployed in Nigerian waters.

Under the contract, Eureka will design, manufacture, and deliver a turnkey containerized generator set to serve as critical backup power for the FPSO Abigail-Joseph. The FPSO is deployed at the Anyala and Madu fields offshore Nigeria.

Eureka will manage the project's engineering and procurement from its headquarters in Fornebu, outside Oslo, Norway, and its office in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Manufacturing and assembly of the containerized generator set will take place at its facility in Sørumsand, north of Oslo.

Ole-Johan Øby Svendsen, Chief Commercial Officer of Eureka, stated that the company has extensive experience in delivering various generator sets to global offshore assets and will adopt a strict, high-quality execution model to ensure the right quality is delivered at the right time, meeting Yinson Production's expectations.

The customized generator set features an optimized design for high-speed engine solutions. Eureka's Norwegian service team will handle commissioning, startup, and operational support after the equipment is installed on the FPSO. The company did not disclose the contract value.

Tom Munkejord, CEO of Eureka, emphasized that the company has a highly flexible and capable workforce that understands the importance of designing and developing robust products with long service lives. Given the FPSO's remote offshore location, operators need to ensure reliable backup power, which Eureka will provide.

The FPSO is owned by Yinson Production and currently leased to First E&P offshore Nigeria. The Asian FPSO giant stated it will continue its leasing and operating model while focusing on operational excellence and disciplined execution in 2026.
