en.Wedoany.com Reported - Russian dairy company Rusmolko will implement a new project in the Penza region with a total investment of approximately 18.5 billion rubles. Company General Director Sumanta Kumar De stated during a meeting with Governor Oleg Melnichenko that the project is expected to take about four years and will achieve a daily milk production capacity of 450 tons upon completion.

Over the next four years, Rusmolko plans to build a young stock rearing complex in the Pachelmsky and Serdobsky districts. Melnichenko revealed via his Telegram channel that the company also intends to establish two additional milk commodity complexes near Serdobsk, adding a total of 13,000 cattle spaces.

Melnichenko stated that the project will help bring dairy farming in the Penza region, including the breeding sector, to a world-class level, and will open new opportunities for dairy product exports and local economic growth by increasing total milk production. He recalled that with the support of the regional government, Rusmolko has completed the closed-loop construction from milk commodity complexes to a full production chain in the Serdobsky, Nizhnelomovsky, and Narovchatsky districts. The company has stopped importing livestock and has shifted to self-reproduction of its cattle herd. Additionally, a quality control center has been established in the Mokshansky district, featuring a laboratory unique within the region. Since the company began operations in the Penza region, total agricultural investments have exceeded 28 billion rubles.

Last year, Rusmolko's milk production exceeded 271,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25%. The company attributes this to the advancement of its dairy development strategy, which focuses on continuously improving technological levels, production efficiency, and refined management. This year, the company's daily milk production has increased to 800 tons, with a daily production increase of 100 tons year-on-year. As of early 2026, the total cattle herd at its subsidiaries was approximately 38,000 head, including 18,500 dairy cows.
