en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Mexican Employers' Confederation (COPARMEX) recently conducted a working visit to France and Belgium, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness, innovation, and internationalization of the country's micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The agenda included multiple meetings with business organizations, European institutions, government agencies, and leaders of the technology ecosystem.

COPARMEX noted that these meetings have opened new avenues for collaboration between Mexican companies and governments, business organizations, and European institutions, enhancing the capabilities of Mexican enterprises.

The delegation, led by the organization's National President Juan José Sierra, held over ten strategic meetings in Paris and Brussels, with the core focus on creating opportunities for investment, trade, and talent development for Mexican MSMEs.

Annual trade between Mexico and the European Union exceeds 100 billion euros, and cumulative foreign direct investment from France has surpassed 10 billion US dollars. COPARMEX believes these figures indicate significant room for increased participation by Mexican companies in the European market.

During the Paris leg, the delegation held talks with Bpifrance, an institution specializing in financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, and FEDECÁMARAS, to explore the establishment of a Mexico-Venezuela bilateral committee to strengthen business cooperation. The delegation also exchanged views with representatives from MEDEF International, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and experts in dual vocational training. They analyzed specific mechanisms to promote the adoption of Artificial Intelligence technologies by MSMEs and shared practical experiences from Mexico's dual vocational training model, which has already benefited over 14,500 young people.

In Brussels, COPARMEX met with BusinessEurope, which represents over 20 million companies from 36 countries, focusing on the opportunities presented by the modernized comprehensive agreement between Mexico and the European Union. The delegation also participated in meetings with the European Economic and Social Committee, MexChamEU, and Mexican diplomatic representatives to the EU, aiming to strengthen mechanisms for business internationalization. As part of this working visit, COPARMEX also attended VivaTech, a major European technology event in 2026, establishing connections with startups and innovation centers specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology applications. The delegation visited École 42 and Station F, international benchmarks in technical training and entrepreneurship, to draw lessons for operational models that could enhance Mexico's innovation ecosystem.

COPARMEX noted that these meetings have opened new avenues for collaboration between Mexican companies and governments, business organizations, and European institutions, helping to enhance the competitiveness of Mexican enterprises and expand their participation in international markets, particularly in areas related to innovation, technology, and economic development.
