This collaboration represents a strategic partnership between Novarc's expertise in physical AI and welding intelligence and Yaskawa's experience in industrial automation and robotic applications. Soroush Karimzadeh, CEO of Novarc, stated that deeply integrating Novarc's physical AI platform NovAI™ with Yaskawa's robotic solutions helps achieve higher levels of autonomous, high-precision manufacturing on the shop floor, thereby enhancing the overall capabilities of robotic systems.

According to the memorandum, Novarc's NovAI Autonomy will be integrated with Yaskawa's six-axis robots to accelerate the deployment of high-throughput, AI-driven welding cells. This technology addresses common production deviations such as misalignment, tack welding, and assembly variations, thereby reducing rework, overwelding, grinding, and scrap generation. Meanwhile, the integration of NovHub™ with Yaskawa's welding analytics platform will provide Industry 4.0-level visualization capabilities, enabling enterprise-grade welding intelligence, transforming isolated robotic cells into interconnected data networks, and driving end-to-end traceability throughout the production lifecycle.

Doug Burnside, Executive Vice President of Yaskawa America, Inc., stated that through this collaboration, Yaskawa can further deepen its partnership with Novarc, integrating enterprise-level welding intelligence into robotic platforms, thereby providing customers in industries such as structural steel, heavy equipment, data centers, agriculture, mining, and modular construction with vision automation and adaptive welding capabilities to enhance their production precision.

The new NovAI Autonomy solution based on Yaskawa's YRC1000 robot will make its public debut at Novarc's booth (#1475) at the Automate show in Chicago from June 22 to 25. Customer demonstrations will be available on-site.
