en.Wedoany.com Reported - Chongqing Tianxinyuan Copper Co., Ltd.'s 200,000-ton/year scrap copper recycling comprehensive utilization project (Phase I) entered the environmental impact assessment approval publicity stage on June 16.

The project is located in Zone B of the Beidu Aluminum Industrial Park, Qijiang Industrial Park. Its construction includes one pyrometallurgical workshop and one electrolytic workshop, along with supporting utilities, auxiliary facilities, storage and transportation, and environmental protection installations. The project is designed to produce 200,000 tons of Grade A cathode copper annually, with a by-product of 1,495.43 tons of No. 1 standard copper. The pyrometallurgical workshop is equipped with two anode plate production lines and one oxygen-enriched side-blown reduction smelting furnace for treating anode furnace slag, with a hearth area of 4 square meters. Each anode plate production line is configured with two 300-ton rotary anode furnaces and one double-disk casting machine with a processing capacity of 90 tons per hour. The electrolytic workshop houses two electrolytic refining production lines, each containing 360 electrolytic cells, 6 primary electrowinning cells, and 19 secondary electrowinning cells. The scrap copper raw materials used in the project must comply with the requirements of "Recycled Copper Raw Materials" (GB/T38471-2023), with the raw material composition comprising 13% copper wire, 40% mixed copper materials, and 47% copper granules.

The total investment for the project is 1.2 billion yuan, of which 90 million yuan is allocated for environmental protection, accounting for 7.5% of the total investment.
