en.Wedoany.com Reported - CData Software has launched three products for developers building AI applications on enterprise data: Connect AI Developer Edition (free), Connect AI Python SDK (open source), and CData CLI.

These products enable developers to directly and securely access enterprise systems, Salesforce, Snowflake, NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Workday, and hundreds of other systems through interfaces such as SQL, Python, command line, and MCP. Many enterprise AI projects stall at the data layer—the issue is not the model itself, but the need for constant IT involvement to obtain controlled, reliable access to production systems. Connect AI provides IT departments with deployment tools so developers no longer need to request permission each time. Business teams gain AI workflows, developers get stable data interfaces, and IT departments can monitor and control every query.
Raviv Levi, Chief Product and Technology Officer at CData, stated that developers have always had to choose between moving quickly and meeting corporate governance requirements, but this trade-off is no longer necessary. Real-time, controlled data access that IT trusts and business units rely on should follow developers into terminals, Python environments, and IDEs.
Connect AI Developer Edition exposes enterprise APIs as a consistent, queryable data layer with standardized schemas, read/write support, and automatic handling of authentication, rate limits, versioning, and pagination. Developers simply write queries, and the platform handles the rest. This free edition includes full enterprise-grade features: MCP server support, per-user authentication passthrough, query logging with user-level attribution, and managed MCP servers. It works with any MCP-compatible coding assistant, client, or framework such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and LangChain. Additionally, Connect AI's Toolkits allow teams to package controlled data access into a single MCP server URL scoped to specific use cases, ensuring agents get only what they need—nothing more.
Connect AI Python SDK provides DB-API compliant access to Connect AI, enabling developers to pull controlled enterprise data into existing Python workflows. The SDK works with pandas, SQLAlchemy, cursor-based queries, and any other DB-API compatible tool. It is open source and available now.
CData CLI is a command-line interface for CData's JDBC, ODBC, Python, and ADO.NET connectors, designed to accelerate the development and testing of analytics pipelines, BI integrations, and ETL workflows. It supports CLI-native tools, and coding assistants like Claude Code and Cursor can directly use it to establish connections. The initial version supports JDBC, with future versions supporting ADO.NET, Python, and ODBC.
All three products are now available at cdata.com/developers. CData is the data layer for AI, providing connectivity, context, and control—connecting to live data, adding semantic context, and governing AI interactions with data. CData powers AI workloads for Anthropic, Databricks, Microsoft, Google, Palantir, and over 10,000 customers worldwide.
