en.Wedoany.com Reported - The National Centre of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) of Pakistan announced on Tuesday that the country's National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has developed the first indigenous generative AI investigation system, aimed at enhancing capabilities in probing financial crimes and corruption. Dr Yasar Ayaz, Chairman of the Centre, described the platform as a significant step towards digital transformation and institutional modernization.

Dr Ayaz stated that this self-developed AI system will improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of investigations while ensuring data sovereignty and institutional ownership. The AI-driven platform is designed to assist investigators in tasks such as complaint verification, inquiry management, financial analysis, evidence management, and decision-making. According to him, the system can help investigators process large volumes of information, generate actionable insights, and support evidence-based decision-making in complex white-collar crime cases.
The project aligns with Pakistan's broader digital governance strategy, aiming to promote the responsible application of artificial intelligence in public sector institutions. The announcement was made during a meeting chaired by Waqar Ahmed Chauhan, Director General of NAB Islamabad/Rawalpindi. At the meeting, experts from the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence demonstrated the platform's capabilities and briefed officials on the project's progress. Participants expressed satisfaction with the progress and reaffirmed their commitment to completing and deploying the system on schedule.
Once operational, the AI platform is expected to become a flagship indigenous technological initiative, paving the way for technology-driven governance, enhanced transparency, and modern law enforcement practices in Pakistan.
