en.Wedoany.com Reported - Cursor has launched a native iPhone app, currently in public beta. Users can start and control AI agents that write and modify code via their smartphones, set tasks, close the app, and return later to review completed merge requests.

The mobile app offers two working modes. Users can launch a cloud agent (running in an isolated virtual machine with a full development environment, capable of working unattended for extended periods) or manage agents running on their own computers via Remote Control. The latter mode requires enabling the corresponding option in settings to prevent the computer from entering sleep mode when the user is away. The app includes all models available in Cursor, adds voice input for tasks and slash command functionality, and offers features similar to the desktop version.

After launching an agent, users can close the app: Cursor displays progress through Live Activities on the lock screen and sends push notifications when work is complete or user input is needed. Users can view generated diffs and demos directly on their phones, leave comments, and merge pull requests (PRs). Agent sessions can be switched between the cloud and local machines.

The mobile app was one of the announcements at the Cursor Compile conference. At the event, the company showcased its self-trained models and Origin, a platform for storing and collaboratively developing code. This launch comes against the backdrop of SpaceX acquiring Cursor for $60 billion. The app is available for all paid plans, and as of July 5, Cursor is offering users a 75% discount on running the mobile version of the Composer 2.5 model.
