With the theme "Strengthening Law-Based Safety Governance and Technology-Driven Safety to Promote Higher-Quality Development of the Mining Industry," the conference attracted over 700 participants.

Chen Changzhi, Vice Chairman of the 11th and 12th National People's Congress Standing Committee, attended and delivered a speech. He noted that China's mine safety governance system has been continuously improved in recent years, with a year-on-year decrease in both the number of mine accidents and fatalities. However, he emphasized that current mine safety remains a concern with hidden risks. Wang Dexue, Director of the Expert Advisory Committee of the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, pointed out that ensuring mine safety requires unwavering adherence to law-based governance and technology-driven approaches. Zhang Jianting, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Director of the National Mine Safety Administration's Inner Mongolia Bureau, stated that Inner Mongolia will continue to promote intelligent, digital, and green transformation of mines, leveraging technological innovation to address safety governance challenges.

At the conference, academicians including He Manchao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hu Zhenqi of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, along with experts and corporate representatives, engaged in policy interpretation, theoretical discussions, and sharing of technological achievements related to mine safety development. The conference was co-hosted by nine organizations, including the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, China Minmetals Corporation, China Coal Energy, China Gold Group, and Zijin Mining Group.
