en.Wedoany.com Reported - Grupo JSV recently put its third owned vessel into operation. The ship, a container vessel named Njord, is now operating on its route and will be renamed Green Canarias.
The vessel has a geometric slot capacity of 809 TEU and is equipped with a scrubber, an exhaust gas cleaning system that helps reduce emissions during navigation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
The ship will join the container vessels Mila Green and Miranda Green. Both of these vessels were acquired in 2025 and are scheduled to arrive in August and at the end of the year, respectively. These two ships have a geometric slot capacity of 1,208 TEU and are both methanol-ready designs.
With the addition of new vessels, the group has strengthened its position as an integrated multimodal transport logistics operator, owning resources across all links of the supply chain. Grupo JSV CEO Sonia Herzog stated that owning a fleet has always been a dream, and adding three vessels this year not only achieves this goal but also reinforces the group's leadership in emission reduction and sustainability on the Canary Islands and Turkey routes.
This development reflects the group's multimodal vision since its inception. The company has been integrating owned resources across different segments of the logistics chain to provide more efficient, reliable, and sustainable services. This strategy is embodied in its "Move to Green" initiative, which translates environmental commitments into concrete investments, services, and actions, helping to reduce the impact of logistics activities and build a future-oriented supply chain.
