en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 1, Greenvolt Power and BYD Energy Storage jointly announced a cooperation agreement, having signed a supply contract. The Siedlce Energy Storage Station in Poland will be fully equipped with BYD's vast centralized energy storage battery system. This equipment procurement agreement also marks the official start of the project's construction. The energy storage project has an installed capacity of 600MW/2.4GWh. Once completed, it will not only become the largest energy storage station in Poland but also rank among the top-tier large-scale energy storage projects in Europe.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commercial operations planned for the end of 2027. Leveraging Poland's capacity market trading mechanism, the project's future revenue has been secured in advance. The complete set of vast centralized energy storage equipment required for the project will be delivered by BYD Energy Storage. The Siedlce project collaboration represents a further extension of the long-term partnership between the two companies.

As early as March 2025, the two parties signed supply contracts for two energy storage projects. The Turośń Kościelna and Nowa Wieś Elcka stations each have a single-unit scale of 200MW/800MWh, with a combined energy storage capacity of 1.6GWh. Greenvolt Power holds a substantial reserve of new energy projects under development in Poland, including 238MW of planned wind power capacity, 657MW of solar power, and 2595MW of energy storage. Including projects deployed globally, the company's total new energy reserve installed capacity reaches 12.8GW.
