en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Aukera, a pan-European battery energy storage and renewable energy platform backed by AtlasInvest, Reggeborgh, and SFPIM (the Belgian sovereign wealth fund), announced the completion of its €460 million structured credit facility, with EIG, a leading institutional investor in the global energy and infrastructure sector, serving as the lead investor.

With the financing in place, Aukera will enter its next growth phase, combining capital, expertise, and delivery capabilities to build a major European energy infrastructure platform that develops, finances, constructs, and operates new energy projects at scale.

The original financing package included an initial commitment of €200 million, along with an accordion feature of up to €250 million. The revised financing package converts this accordion feature into a second fixed commitment tranche of €260 million, bringing total committed capital to €460 million. The additional funds will be used to support Aukera's continued advancement of its portfolio of renewable energy generation, battery energy storage, and energy infrastructure projects across its five European markets—Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, and Italy.

Since securing its initial financing, Aukera has consistently demonstrated its ability to develop, finance, and deliver energy infrastructure projects at scale across multiple markets. The company currently has nearly 1 GW of projects under construction or in operation across all its markets. In addition to these completed projects, Aukera is advancing 14 GW of renewable energy and energy infrastructure development projects across Europe.

Aukera is a Brussels-headquartered pan-European renewable energy platform, led by battery energy storage. Co-founded in 2021 by Pascal Emsens and Catalin Breaban, Aukera develops, finances, constructs, and operates renewable energy and battery energy storage infrastructure in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, and Italy.

Aukera currently has nearly 1 GW of projects under construction or in operation, as well as a development pipeline of more than 14 GW. The company is supported by AtlasInvest, Reggeborgh, and the Belgian sovereign wealth fund SFPIM, and maintains offices in Brussels, London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Rome, and Bucharest.
