China Automobile Engineering Corporation Wins General Contracting Project for Monpi Sanitary Ware Thailand Factory of 54,400 Square Meters

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, China Automobile Engineering Corporation (abbreviated as "CAEC"), a subsidiary of Sinomach Automobile, won the general contracting project for Phase I of Building No. 2 of the Monpi Sanitary Ware Thailand Factory, and held a groundbreaking ceremony in Ayutthaya, Thailand. The project covers a construction area of approximately 54,400 square meters. This milestone includes both the winning of the general contracting bid and the groundbreaking ceremony, marking the first project cooperation between CAEC and Monpi Sanitary Ware.

The project comprises both new construction and renovation of existing plant buildings. The new structures include Production Workshop No. 2, Finished Product Warehouse No. 2, a wastewater treatment station, an oil supply station, and a finished product guard booth; the renovation scope covers the overall renovation of the raw materials workshop and partial renovation of the combined workshop. Public information has not yet disclosed the contract amount, planned construction period, or the construction area of each individual building for this general contracting project.

Monpi Sanitary Ware's existing Thailand production base is also located in Ayutthaya. According to the company's official website, Monpi Sanitary Ware initiated the construction of its overseas factory in Thailand in 2022, with a planned annual production capacity of 2.7 million sanitary ware pieces; in 2024, the Thailand factory completed the shipment of its first batch of products. The current Phase I of Building No. 2 is a new round of plant construction launched after the company's Thailand production system had already entered the stage of actual production and export.

According to information on Monpi Sanitary Ware's official website, its production bases are located in Tangshan, China, and Ayutthaya, Thailand, with production facilities including tunnel kilns, shuttle kilns, and over 500 production lines. In addition to new production and warehousing buildings, the Phase I of Building No. 2 undertaken by CAEC also includes the simultaneous configuration of utility facilities such as wastewater treatment and oil supply, as well as the renovation of the existing raw materials and combined workshops.
