en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 25, the Dubai Gold District in the UAE announced plans to open a walkway built with 24K gold materials by the end of 2026, as an important part of the commercial and tourism facilities in the Gold District. Rashid Al Harmoudi, Senior Executive of Commercial Affairs for the project, stated that the walkway is expected to open to the public within the next two months. The project is driven by Dubai real estate developer Ithra Dubai and is positioned as the world's first gold walkway of its kind.

The Gold Walkway is located in the Dubai Gold District in the Deira area of Dubai. The commercial district was officially launched in January this year, integrating gold retail, precious metals wholesale, investment trading and supporting commercial facilities. It brings together more than 1,000 gold, jewelry and other retailers and features six hotels. As a distinctive public facility in the park's planning, the Gold Walkway is intended to connect local gold and jewelry commercial activities with the tourist walking experience.

Construction work on the project had previously commenced. Ithra Dubai confirmed in May that work on the Gold Street project was underway and listed the fourth quarter of 2026 as the planned opening time. The latest disclosure further clarifies the 24K gold materials and the arrangement to open by year-end. Meanwhile, the Gold District is expanding its commercial office and retail facilities. Since the beginning of this year, the number of newly opened gold wholesale trading offices in the district has increased by 20%, and the number of new retail stores for gold, jewelry, gemstones and luxury watches has increased by 15%.
