en.Wedoany.com Reported - At the Big BIM Enlightenment (Большой BIM Просвет) — 2026 Forum held in Moscow, participants explored the practical application of BIM. This annual forum focuses on digitalization in design and construction, where market leaders share case studies and learn from the best practices of their peers. Over 50 speakers presented on the use of technology in construction, including three experts from Sminex, who delivered talks on integrating neural networks and BIM models into real estate development business processes.
One of the most discussed and controversial topics was the application of neural networks. During the event, participants debated their practical value, the use of AI agents for specific business processes, and the evaluation of results. From the outset, Sminex emphasized the controllability of AI implementation, opting not to develop separate robots but instead focusing on building a unified LLM platform.
The application of BIM technology has made it possible to create a digital twin of construction—a Construction Information Model (СИМ). The СИМ serves as a unified data source for the team, reflecting the latest information on construction progress, any changes, and stages. This data comes from documents within internal enterprise systems, generated daily by construction managers, surveyors, and engineers in the construction control department. Sminex has reduced labor costs to one-tenth of the original by building the СИМ.
Valeria Atalay (Валерия Аталай), Head of the BIM Construction Management Group, explained that the СИМ dashboard aggregates data on the execution, acceptance, and payment of construction and installation work, while also visualizing it in models and analytical tables, equipped with a flexible filtering system for projects, stages, and contractors. The merged БПП tab enables real-time monitoring of work status, identifying gaps between execution and acceptance phases. BIM coordinators maintain the СИМ based on data from construction teams and enterprise information systems, with reports generated and updated automatically daily.
Sminex has also developed its own tool, "ТЭП Контроль (Technical and Economic Indicator Control)," for managing technical and economic indicators (ТЭП) without using Excel. The management of technical and economic indicators is carried out using the BIM model, thereby obtaining unified and up-to-date data.

At the forum, Vasily Belyaev (Василий Беляев), Head of the BIM Design Management Group at Sminex, introduced that geometric checks (e.g., the correctness of room boundaries and area outlines) are retained at the input inspection stage of the information model development software (Revit). Only after the inspector confirms the geometric correctness does the process move to the indicator inspection stage in the service.
