en.Wedoany.com Reported - Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV; OTCQX: ORVMF) has released the latest progress on deep drilling at its wholly-owned Taguas project in San Juan, Argentina. The 2026 diamond drilling program comprised two holes totaling 2,173.7 meters. Hole TADD-278 was completed at a depth of 1,331.7 meters, and hole TADD-279 at 842 meters, both finished before winter. TADD-279 has been cased and is ready for continued drilling next season.

Petrographic studies of TADD-278 indicate mineralization hosted in dacite porphyry, with strong sericitic alteration characterized by a quartz-sericite-pyrite assemblage. Sulfides are predominantly pyrite, with minor enargite or chalcopyrite, occurring as disseminations and veinlets. Complete assay results for this hole show 0.25 g/t gold and 0.12% copper over the interval from 715 m to 920 m (205 m downhole length). Chalcopyrite is only trace, with pyrite dominant, suggesting the hole is in the upper part of the mineralized system. Complete assay results from TADD-279 yielded multiple gold-copper intercepts, most notably 1.25 m from 398.00-399.25 m grading 9.19 g/t gold and 5.55% copper. This high-grade intercept indicates the high-sulfidation epithermal system remains active at this depth, demonstrating vertical continuity. Other selected intercepts from TADD-278 include: 490.00-492.00 m (2.00 m, 32.34 g/t Au, 4.50 g/t Ag, 0.06% Cu); 536.00-552.80 m (16.80 m, 0.32 g/t Au, 4.20 g/t Ag, 0.81% Cu), including 536.00-537.00 m (1.00 m, 1.34 g/t Au, 20.00 g/t Ag, 5.39% Cu) and 551.50-552.80 m (1.30 m, 1.49 g/t Au, 9.00 g/t Ag, 2.44% Cu); 638.00-675.00 m (37.00 m, 0.86 g/t Au, 6.09 g/t Ag, 0.69% Cu), including 672.00-675.00 m (3.00 m, 5.62 g/t Au, 10.20 g/t Ag, 0.29% Cu); 715.00-920.00 m (205.00 m, 0.25 g/t Au, 1.82 g/t Ag, 0.12% Cu), including 812.00-828.00 m (16.00 m, 0.43 g/t Au, 3.37 g/t Ag, 0.07% Cu), 848.00-863.00 m (15.00 m, 0.61 g/t Au, 4.06 g/t Ag, 0.21% Cu); 1007.70-1015.00 m (7.30 m, 0.30 g/t Au, 8.20 g/t Ag, 0.28% Cu); 1097.70-1109.00 m (11.30 m, 0.23 g/t Au, 1.71 g/t Ag, 0.26% Cu); 1121.00-1127.00 m (6.00 m, 0.29 g/t Au, 1.48 g/t Ag, 0.19% Cu). Other selected intercepts from TADD-279 include: 361.00-364.00 m (3.00 m, 0.15 g/t Au, 2.36 g/t Ag, 0.41% Cu); 372.00-379.00 m (7.00 m, 0.18 g/t Au, 2.92 g/t Ag, 0.43% Cu); 398.00-403.00 m (5.00 m, 2.44 g/t Au, 9.48 g/t Ag, 1.69% Cu), including 398.00-399.25 m (1.25 m, 9.19 g/t Au, 28.10 g/t Ag, 5.55% Cu); 427.00-444.00 m (17.00 m, 0.19 g/t Au, 2.04 g/t Ag, 0.28% Cu), including 439.00-440.00 m (1.00 m, 1.12 g/t Au, 20.60 g/t Ag, 3.49% Cu); 470.00-472.00 m (2.00 m, 0.25 g/t Au, 3.20 g/t Ag, 0.36% Cu); 648.00-650.00 m (2.00 m, 0.57 g/t Au, 1.10 g/t Ag, 0.17% Cu); 686.00-688.00 m (2.00 m, 0.64 g/t Au, 0.25 g/t Ag, 0.02% Cu); 756.00-758.00 m (2.00 m, 0.18 g/t Au, 38.70 g/t Ag, 7.19% Cu); 836.00-840.00 m (4.00 m, 0.16 g/t Au, 1.90 g/t Ag, 0.36% Cu). The copper grades are primarily associated with enargite (Cu₃AsS₄), characteristic of high-sulfidation epithermal systems. All intercepts are downhole lengths; true thickness is unknown, and no cut-off grade was applied.
VNIR-SWIR Terraspec measurements from TADD-279 show sericitic alteration at depth, consistent with TADD-278, supporting the interpretation of a deep, persistent hydrothermal system and justifying plans to extend this hole next season. The company will complete detailed petrographic studies on TADD-279 and integrate 2026 and historical datasets to refine the geological model. A technical workshop will be held in July, with experts in porphyry and epithermal systems, to review geological, geochemical, mineralogical, structural, and alteration data and optimize future drill targets. The company also plans geochronological studies on selected core samples to constrain the timing of different porphyry intrusion phases. Additionally, a desktop review of the newly acquired Evelina claim block will be conducted.
At the El Valle-Boinás mine in Asturias, Spain, drilling in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 focused on the oxide orebody, completing 2,862 meters of infill and brownfield drilling at Breccia East, 742 meters at Zone 208, and one infill hole (108 meters) at the Boinas East skarn. Assay results are pending and will be reported in a future news release. Drilling will continue at Breccia East in the fourth quarter, aiming to upgrade inferred resources to the indicated category, and 1,000 meters of infill and brownfield drilling is planned at the Carlés mine, targeting resource upgrades and expansion at the Northwest Carlés Skarn orebody between -30 m and -100 m levels.
Samples from the Taguas project were prepared and analyzed by Alex Stewart International Argentina SA (Mendoza) laboratory, which is certified under ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 14001. Sample preparation followed standard procedures, with gold analyzed by 50 g fire assay with atomic absorption or gravimetric finish, and a 39-element suite by aqua regia digestion with ICP OES. QA/QC procedures include field duplicates, coarse reject duplicates, pulp duplicates, blanks, and certified reference materials. The qualified person, Raúl Alvarez Cifuentes (company employee), supervised the technical content of this report. Technical information for the El Valle-Boinás section was reviewed and approved by the qualified person, Guadalupe Collar Menéndez (Chief Geologist of the company's subsidiary, Orovalle Minerals S.L.).
