en.Wedoany.com Reported - During the 9th China-Europe Expo Cooperation Conference held in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, the Uztextileprom Association of Uzbekistan completed multiple economic and trade matchmaking activities and signed a memorandum of cooperation with a relevant committee of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, establishing a long-term cooperation framework for Sino-Uzbek textile trade and joint investment.

During the conference, the Uzbek delegation held multiple rounds of bilateral talks with Chinese government agencies, industry associations, and business representatives, focusing on precise matchmaking for incremental directions in textile industry cooperation. The delegation held special meetings with over 30 leading Chinese textile enterprises, reaching consensus on expanding import and export trade, implementing joint investment projects, and enhancing production collaboration in the textile, apparel, and knitting sectors. The core achievement of this participation was the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding on cooperation, with both sides committed to the principle of long-term mutual benefit to continuously stimulate vitality in textile trade and investment.

Leveraging Xinjiang's geographical and industrial hub advantages, the China-Europe Expo continues to serve as a core platform for connecting Asia-Europe light industries. The textile industry, as a traditional area of advantageous cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, exhibits strong complementarity. Currently, the industry urgently needs to open up cross-border production and sales channels and joint investment pathways, utilizing the resource advantages of both sides to address capacity and trade shortcomings and broaden distribution channels in the Asia-Europe textile market.

Uzbekistan is a globally important cotton producer and exporter, boasting abundant cotton resources and advantages in textile raw materials. Xinjiang is China's largest cotton-producing region and a significant textile industry base, with the two sides demonstrating high complementarity across the upstream and downstream of the textile industry chain. This signing further refined the layout of Sino-Uzbek textile industry cooperation. Chinese enterprises leverage their advantages in technology, capacity, and supply chain to expand overseas markets, while Uzbekistan, with its raw material and geographical advantages, undertakes Chinese industrial collaboration resources to deepen full-chain cooperation in textiles and apparel. This government-enterprise collaborative model helps both sides implement regular trade and investment projects, continuously strengthening the competitiveness of the regional textile industry.
