en.Wedoany.com Reported - The first NTE240 remanufactured complete vehicle from Northern Heavy Industries' Northern Mining division recently completed all repair and modification work at the Dexing Copper Mine in Jiangxi, officially entering field operations. This complete vehicle remanufacturing project achieved a full performance revival of aging mining trucks, addressing pain points of complex mining conditions through customized technological upgrades.
Northern Heavy Industries (600262.SH), headquartered in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, is a leading manufacturer of mining dump trucks in China. Since the first batch of NTE240 mining trucks was put into operation at the Dexing Copper Mine, they have undertaken material transportation tasks around the clock, with an average annual operating time exceeding 6,000 hours. After years of high-intensity service, the vehicles gradually experienced aging and wear. To revitalize existing equipment, reduce procurement and maintenance costs, and ensure on-site safety, Northern Mining, in collaboration with the Dexing Copper Mine, officially launched the complete vehicle remanufacturing project.
At the project's inception, Northern Mining's technical team went to the mine site, combined with the actual working environment, engaged with operators and maintenance personnel to understand real needs, determined the full set of remanufacturing technical standards, and simultaneously implemented 10 technological upgrade solutions. Through comprehensive disassembly, inspection, structural reinforcement, component replacement, and electronic control optimization, the remanufactured NTE240 mining truck's overall performance fully met new vehicle standards. Targeting special conditions such as frequent rainfall, bumpy roads, and long downhill sections at the mine, the project team carried out specific upgrades in structural component strength, anti-corrosion performance, and electrical systems. The company's self-developed control system contactor replacement solution further enhanced equipment operational safety.
The successful delivery of this NTE240 remanufacturing project represents a model practice of Northern Mining and the Dexing Copper Mine jointly promoting equipment repair, reuse, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
