en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Arthur Companies has completed the acquisition of Beach Cooperative Grain Co., expanding its independent grain and agronomy service network in western North Dakota. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Announced on July 1, the deal received approval from Beach Cooperative members and followed months of planning by both boards and management teams. As part of the transition arrangement, Beach Cooperative will continue to operate as a localized grain and agronomy business serving local growers, with existing employees and management remaining in place.

The Arthur Companies is a family-owned agricultural business encompassing grain, agronomy, seed, trading, aerial application, and research. Headquartered in Arthur, North Dakota, the company serves growers across North Dakota, Idaho, Minnesota, and surrounding regions. Arthur stated that the acquisition solidifies its position as an independent competitor in the northern grain and agronomy market, with Beach's addition expected to increase trading opportunities, provide more agronomic support, and ensure continued access to localized services.

"For 120 years, The Arthur Companies has grown by earning the trust of farmers, one relationship at a time," said James Burgum, CEO of The Arthur Companies. "Beach was built on the same neighborly service, local commitment, and long-term thinking that define our company. We are honored to carry on that tradition and invest in the people, facilities, and services that growers in this region depend on."

Headquartered in Beach, North Dakota, Beach Cooperative provides grain handling, agronomy, fertilizer, trucking, and related agricultural services across western North Dakota and eastern Montana. Beach stated that the acquisition provides immediate cash value for its customers while positioning the business for long-term advantages as part of Arthur's broader grain, agronomy, and research platform.

"The Beach Cooperative board spent considerable time evaluating sustainable paths forward to ensure our customers have a strong and successful business in the future," said Rick Miske, Chairman of the Beach Board. "We took a thoughtful approach to this process because we understand what it means for our members, employees, and communities. Arthur shares our values, understands the importance of local service, and has a clear commitment to maintaining strong competition for growers in this region."
