en.Wedoany.com Reported - SLB has secured a seven-year contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to support applied research, technology deployment, and digital innovation projects under the Ahmadi Innovation Valley initiative. This contract makes SLB the first signed partner under KOC's flagship innovation program.
The contract covers nearly 100 projects involving artificial intelligence, industrial Internet of Things applications, production optimization, reservoir technology, water management, and energy transition initiatives. As part of the collaboration, SLB plans to establish a dedicated center within the Ahmadi Innovation Valley facility in Kuwait. Construction of the center is expected to begin in 2026, with completion and opening scheduled for 2028.
"The Ahmadi Innovation Valley is a significant step toward advancing technological leadership in Kuwait's energy sector," said Ahmad Jaber Al-Eidan, CEO of Kuwait Oil Company. "By partnering with leading technology providers, we are accelerating technology deployment, strengthening local capabilities, and expanding knowledge transfer to support Kuwait's energy industry."
