en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fujitsu Korea has put into operation an integrated supply chain management (SCM) platform for Medience, a South Korean infant care company, achieving significant improvements in operational efficiency and data reliability. The initiative aims to upgrade the operating system for Medience's global business expansion, with the entire project taking approximately 10 months.

Previously fragmented systems across enterprise resource planning (ERP) (SAP), warehouse management system (WMS), point-of-sale (POS) system (SIS), as well as procurement, production, and quality management, have now been consolidated into a single platform. The platform officially went live in March this year, and after a stabilization period, its operational effectiveness has been validated. Specifically, core processes such as sales and operations planning (S&OP), material requirements planning (MRP), and bill of materials (BOM) management have been restructured into data-driven workflows, establishing an end-to-end operating system from manufacturing to sales. This enhances supply chain visibility and data consistency, enabling real-time decision-making.

Operational improvements on the ground are equally evident. Son Hyun-guk, head of Medience's Support Division, noted that data collection and validation previously took an extremely long time, but now, with real-time data access, processing speed has more than doubled, accelerating decisions in report preparation, production scheduling, and shipment management. Jung Hyun-joon, head of Medience's Management Planning Team, pointed out that the legacy system required frequent cross-checks due to discrepancies, while the new integrated platform improves data accuracy and operational trust, while also facilitating smoother cross-departmental collaboration.

Fujitsu Korea stated that the project has transformed Medience's supply chain operations from a reactive model to one with predictive and rapid response capabilities. Through the integration of finance and accounting, it has strengthened internal controls and solidified the foundation for ESG compliance. Kim Jong-gon, head of Fujitsu Korea's Service and Solutions Sales Division 2, believes that this deployment serves as a validation of data-driven supply chain transformation in a real business environment, providing a scalable reference case for domestic manufacturing and distribution companies in South Korea. The company also revealed plans to introduce AI-driven demand forecasting in the future and further optimize the global supply chain to continuously advance data-driven management.
