en.Wedoany.com Reported - Athena Gold (CSE:ATHA) announced the successful completion of its inaugural drill program at the Laird Lake Project, located in Ontario, Canada.

The program comprised nine diamond drill holes totaling 5,134 meters. The company expects to receive all pending assay results by early August 2026. Site demobilization and cleanup activities are currently underway.

CEO Koby Kushner stated that completing this inaugural drill program is the culmination of years of work, including modernizing historical geophysical data using 3D inversion techniques and completing a geochemical sampling program of over 2,000 samples.

Kushner expressed anticipation for the results of all pending samples and will provide further updates to shareholders.

According to previous information, the company completed a strategic follow-up drill hole earlier this year, designed to test the G4 anomaly from a different angle and explore the deep Pit zone.

The Laird Lake Project is located 20 kilometers southwest of Red Lake, Ontario, covering 4,158 hectares and accessible via a road connecting to Highway ON-618. The project is considered significantly less explored for gold than most of the surrounding Red Lake Greenstone Belt, despite covering over 10 kilometers of strike length along the known gold-bearing contact zone between the Balmer and Confederation Assemblage rocks.

Athena Gold focuses on the exploration and acquisition of mineral assets in North America.
