In Warrington, operator LinkUp Padel is planning to convert a 31,000-square-foot industrial unit at the Stretton Distribution Centre into a padel center featuring five doubles courts and two singles courts. If planning permission is granted, the existing roller shutter doors may be replaced with a glass entrance, with new access routes and amenities added, and the unit's parking capacity increased to 44 spaces.

The site is located near Grappenhall Lane in Appleton Thorn, southeast of Warrington town center, in an area with existing mixed uses, including neighbors such as golf retailer Scottsdale Golf and a garden furniture store. Union4 Planning noted in its planning statement that the nearest padel courts are 3.5 kilometers north of the project, consisting of only an outdoor facility with two courts, with no other similar facilities within a 10-kilometer radius. LinkUp Padel is working with Union4 Planning and The Padel Architects, part of Hobden Butler Architects, to advance the project.
