en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Delhi government has announced the launch of a one-stop portal for electric vehicle (EV) incentives and charging approvals, aimed at simplifying the process of claiming purchase incentives and approving charging infrastructure under the newly introduced Delhi EV Policy 2026. Buyers can apply for purchase incentives through this platform, enabling Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT); meanwhile, the approval process for charging infrastructure will also be integrated into the same digital system.

The government further clarified that purchase incentives are only applicable to EV models approved by the Delhi Transport Department. Manufacturers must first register eligible models on the portal before consumers can apply for related benefits. This measure aims to ensure that incentive funds are directed only to vehicles meeting the policy's technical requirements and safety standards, while enhancing transparency in subsidy management.
In addition to processing incentive applications, the platform will serve as a one-stop approval window for charging facilities. Charging point developers, housing societies, commercial entities, and other applicants can obtain approvals through this portal without needing to coordinate with multiple government departments individually. The policy also requires EV dealers to provide public charging services and encourages residential associations and private entities to participate in expanding Delhi's charging network.
The government expects this digital platform to shorten the processing cycle for incentives, reduce regulatory approval burdens, and support the planned expansion of charging infrastructure across the city. The core objective of the Delhi EV Policy 2026 is to accelerate EV adoption through financial incentives, tax reductions, and investments in charging infrastructure.
Data shows that over 50,000 EVs have been registered in Delhi this year, with monthly sales exceeding 10,500 units in June alone.
