en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Wison Clean Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd. announced that it has officially signed a total EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) contract with Italy's Eni Group and Altera Infrastructure for the floating production, storage, and offloading unit (FPSO) for the third phase of the Baleine oil and gas field offshore Côte d'Ivoire.
Designed with high operational efficiency, strong safety performance, and low environmental impact, the unit measures approximately 308 meters in length, 57 meters in width, and 29.8 meters in depth, operating at water depths of 800 to 1,200 meters. It is designed to process 90,000 barrels of crude oil, 80,000 barrels of produced water, and 160 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day, with a design life of at least 20 years. Upon completion of all three phases of the field development, daily crude oil production will increase from the current 60,000 barrels to 150,000 barrels.
The Baleine oil and gas field is the largest oil and gas project in Côte d'Ivoire to date. The third phase adopts a "phased + rapid development" model, leveraging existing infrastructure and optimizing project costs to achieve rapid capacity release. The crude oil produced will be exported, while all natural gas will be supplied to the domestic market of Côte d'Ivoire, ensuring the country's energy supply, enhancing power generation capacity, and supporting local industrial development.
