en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, during the peak summer power demand period, Unit 2 of the Datang Jinhua Natural Gas Power Generation Project successfully passed the 168-hour full-load trial operation, marking the full commissioning and power generation of China Datang's first 9H gas turbine power plant, adding strong green power to the stable electricity supply in Zhejiang and even the East China region.
The project features two sets of world-advanced, highest-efficiency 9H-class combined cycle power generation units, with a total installed capacity of 1,496 MW. After both units are fully operational, the annual power generation will be approximately 3 billion kWh, meeting the electricity needs of 3.8 million residents.
Since the start of construction, the project has united and led all participating units to work tirelessly for 676 days and nights—achieving the first auxiliary power reception and the first "natural gas supply channel connection" among the first batch of 9H gas turbine projects in Zhejiang Province. The project strictly implemented the management objectives of "no overruns in two aspects, three zeros, five prohibitions, and eight strict requirements," achieving "one-time success" in multiple key milestones such as boiler hydrostatic test, steam turbine cover closure, and first ignition of the gas turbine, completing the leap from construction to operation in less than two years.
The project adheres to innovation-driven development, featuring significant advantages such as fast response, low energy consumption, and excellent environmental performance, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.22 million tons annually. It pioneered multiple intelligent control technologies in China, including sequential loading of security loads and one-key sequential control, and introduced innovative ecological construction techniques in Zhejiang Province, such as large-span pipe trusses and bedrock caisson construction. These series of innovations fully demonstrate China Datang's comprehensive management and control capabilities throughout the entire process of large-scale energy project construction and its solid strength in low-carbon green development layout.
