en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brunswick Exploration (TSX-V:BRW) has initiated a new drilling program at the Mirage and Anatacau Main projects in the Eeyou Istchee-James Bay region of Quebec, Canada.
A total of 6,000 meters of drilling is planned across the two assets, with 2,000 meters allocated to the Anatacau project and 4,000 meters to the Mirage project.
The drilling at the Anatacau project aims to extend known spodumene pegmatite veins and discover new ones. Currently, the spodumene vein zone delineated in the Anais area extends over 600 meters in length and 450 meters in width, remaining open in all directions.
At the Mirage project, drilling will first target the lateral extensions of the MR-1 and MR-4 veins, which are considered the most enriched veins discovered to date. The MR-1 vein, located in the northern part of the deposit, has a strike length exceeding 400 meters and remains open in all directions. This vein previously returned a "high-grade" result of 25.8 meters at 2.57% lithium oxide. After completion, drilling will shift to the MR-4 vein, located in the southern part of the project and regarded as the "most evolved" pegmatite at Mirage to date.
Brunswick Exploration noted that the drilling program will continue targeting untested spodumene pegmatite outcrops, particularly north of Escale Lake. Additionally, further drilling is planned to test new high-potential targets along the entire 8-kilometer-long lithium-bearing corridor identified at the Mirage project, where over 350 spodumene pegmatite boulders and lithium-bearing till locations have been discovered.
CEO Killian Charles stated that the Mirage project, with an inferred resource of 52.2 million tonnes at 1.08% lithium oxide, is already "one of the most significant lithium assets in Canada." Charles said, "We believe there is significant potential to rapidly expand the mineral resource estimate and related exploration targets. Many of the pegmatites drilled to date remain open in all directions, and several lithium-bearing pegmatites have yet to be drill-tested." Charles added that the company believes the Anatacau project could be as "significant" as Mirage. "Drilling will continue to outline the potential we see in this asset. No other junior company in Canada has such a unique portfolio of advanced, high-potential assets. We believe the planned summer activities will solidify our position as one of the most exciting lithium exploration companies in Canada."
The Mirage project comprises 278 claims covering a total area of 13,839 hectares, located 40 kilometers south of the Trans-Taiga Highway in Quebec, Canada. The Anatacau Main project is a hard-rock lithium asset strategically situated 22 kilometers east of the Anatacau West project and Rio Tinto's (ASX:RIO) Galaxy project. Brunswick Exploration is a mineral exploration company focused on grassroots lithium exploration in Canada.
