en.Wedoany.com Reported - Verkada announced a partnership with NVIDIA, focusing on developing and deploying physical AI within buildings and facilities. As part of the collaboration, NVIDIA has also become an investor in Verkada. Prior to this, CapitalG, a subsidiary of Alphabet, had already invested in Verkada.

Verkada leverages AI tools to help organizations such as schools, hospitals, retailers, and manufacturers analyze operational data from physical environments. Through this partnership, both parties are jointly advancing video analysis technology, specifically covering AI-based video search, multimodal embeddings, semantic search via vector retrieval, and synthetic data generation for model training.
Verkada stated that it is using NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation models and the NVIDIA Physical AI Data Factory to support model training and inference for its systems running on NVIDIA accelerated computing. Since the partnership began, Verkada reported a 68% improvement in mean average precision for its AI-driven search in spatiotemporal understanding.
Verkada is also developing a multi-model search agent architecture and evaluating reasoning models for unstructured scenarios, including identifying health and safety incidents in manufacturing environments and detecting losses in retail settings. This work is part of its efforts to expand AI capabilities for building and site monitoring.
