en.Wedoany.com Reported - The California High-Speed Rail Authority has signed a cooperative development agreement with Momentum Alliance Partners to evaluate delivery and financing options for future high-speed rail expansion. Within this alliance, Keolis and SNCF Voyageurs will provide operational and maintenance expertise.

This effort will focus on expansion beyond the Merced–Bakersfield section, which is currently under active construction.

Members of Momentum Alliance Partners include Plenary Americas, CDPQ Infra, Keolis, SNCF Voyageurs, Jacobs, Sener, SYSTRA, Setec, Arup, and Steer. The alliance will assess the sequencing, delivery models, financing structures, operational concepts, and private sector participation for future high-speed rail segments in California, including infrastructure development.

Keolis and SNCF Voyageurs will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) input through a dedicated joint venture. Keolis has been operating commuter rail services in the United States and collaborating with U.S. public transit authorities for 20 years. SNCF Voyageurs brings operational experience from high-speed rail in France and Europe, including services such as TGV and Eurostar.

The California high-speed rail project aims to develop a high-speed passenger line connecting the Bay Area, the Central Valley, and Southern California. The current agreement focuses on future expansion and will not alter the construction status of the Merced–Bakersfield section.
