The discussions took place during a meeting between Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, and a Japanese delegation led by Takeshi Hashimoto, Chairman of the Japan-CIS Business Cooperation Committee under the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren). The two sides explored specific opportunities for deepening cooperation in the digital field, implementing joint projects, and expanding investment partnerships.

Training a skilled IT workforce that meets international standards became a key focus of the meeting, aimed at helping to meet Japan's growing demand for information technology specialists. The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan stated that the two sides exchanged views on training qualified IT professionals, expanding IT service exports to Japan, and creating new opportunities for experts in the international labor market.

The Japanese delegation also learned about Uzbekistan's progress in developing digital infrastructure, including plans to establish data centers and attract major technology investment projects. The Uzbek side provided detailed information on the favorable conditions created for developing data centers, expanding digital infrastructure, and implementing large-scale technology investment projects.
