en.Wedoany.com Reported - Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) will present its latest machines, electrification solutions, and digital services at the 2026 Steinexpo trade fair (September 2–5, Germany, Nieder-Ofleiden), covering a portfolio tailored for quarrying and mining applications.

Under the theme "New Heights in Raw Material Extraction: Efficient, Safe, Profitable," Volvo CE will showcase the R60 rigid hauler, the new EC560 crawler excavator, the L260 wheel loader as an HD heavy-duty rehandler, and the FH semi-trailer from Volvo Trucks in the static display area at Booth A40. Electric machines include the L120 Electric wheel loader, the A40 Electric hauler, and the EWR150 Electric wheeled excavator. In the demonstration area, visitors can experience the L350H with a long boom, the Red Dot Award-winning A50 articulated hauler, and the EC750E crawler excavator in actual operation.
Frank Schmitt, Commercial Manager for Volvo CE in Germany, stated that Steinexpo is an important platform for the company and its dealers to showcase large construction machinery, electrification progress, and digital service portfolios to customers in the quarrying and mining industries.
At the fair, Volvo CE will debut the new R60 rigid hauler and the new EC560 crawler excavator in Germany. The Stage V-compliant R60 has a payload of 55 tons and a body capacity of 36 cubic meters, featuring a V-shaped body for fast and clean dumping, high traction, and fuel-saving technologies such as Volvo Dynamic Shift Control and Eco Shift Mode. The cab is ROPS/FOPS certified, offering excellent all-round visibility and an ergonomic operating environment. The vehicle is produced at Volvo CE's plant in Motherwell, Scotland. The EC560 expands the large crawler excavator series, targeting high engine power, tractive force, and swing torque, and is scheduled to enter the German market in 2027.
In the demonstration area, the L350H, the largest wheel loader in the portfolio, works in tandem with the A50 articulated hauler. The L350H features an advanced drivetrain with axles and transmission optimized for heavy-duty applications, combined with third-generation OptiShift to enhance fuel efficiency and serviceability. The A50 articulated hauler offers faster cycle times, efficiency, and operator comfort. The EC750E demonstrates its capabilities as a powerful crawler excavator designed for demanding applications.
On the electrification front, Volvo CE will display three fully electric machines: the EWR150 Electric, L120 Electric, and A40 Electric, combining zero-emission operation with high performance. The L120 Electric delivers high power density for loading applications with zero local emissions. The A40 Electric, which entered series production earlier this year, retains the off-road capability, ease of use, and robustness of its diesel counterpart. The EWR150 Electric combines high mobility with the proven performance, comfort, and reliability of a wheeled excavator and will be used in an operator competition, where the best operator can qualify for the Volvo Operators Club final in Sweden in October 2026.
