en.Wedoany.com Reported - Iberia will resume regular flights between Madrid and Venezuela next Thursday, July 9, after the route was suspended on June 26 due to a strong earthquake on June 24.

The Spanish airline will operate two weekly flights between Madrid and Valencia International Airport, departing on Thursdays and Sundays. Return flights to the Spanish capital Madrid will make a technical stop in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The earthquake caused the temporary closure of Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport, which serves Caracas, leading to flight disruptions.

According to the latest official statistics, the earthquake has resulted in over 3,300 deaths and approximately 16,700 injuries. Authorities report that at least 95 Portuguese nationals and descendants are among the victims, with 58 others still missing or uncontactable.
