en.Wedoany.com Reported - TGW Logistics, an international intralogistics solutions provider, announced the deployment of a second automated warehouse for sports brand INTERSPORT in Saint-Vulbas, France. The core of the system features its intelligent "goods-to-person" solution, FlashPick, designed to enable rapid store replenishment and improve service levels.

In the solution, the receiving area uses robots to automatically palletize goods for storage. The facility's core is a shuttle warehouse with 10 aisles and over 80,000 storage bins. The complete solution also includes 18 PickCenter workstations specifically designed for ergonomic order picking. In the shipping area, a shuttle warehouse with 3 aisles handles order consolidation, followed by three AutoStax robots for palletizing, achieving a throughput of 1,500 cartons per hour. Project goals include keeping pace with INTERSPORT's growth, better managing seasonal peaks, and improving workstation ergonomics.
Albert Vidal, CEO of TGW Logistics Southern Europe, stated that this project demonstrates the company's ability to design, develop, and commission large-scale facilities while ensuring performance, setting a benchmark for the Southern Europe region. Following the success of the first project in Austria, the two companies have strengthened international collaboration through this French project. Frédéric Grassart, Logistics Operations Director of INTERSPORT France, noted that after 20 weeks of operation, targets have been exceeded, with order picking productivity increased eightfold and palletizing productivity increased fourfold.
