en.Wedoany.com Reported - International contract logistics group ID Logistics has launched a new subsidiary, ID Logistics Healthcare, in Spain and Portugal, dedicated to pharmaceutical and medical activities, to accelerate its growth in the healthcare sector.

With over 20 years of experience collaborating with pharmaceutical laboratories, dermocosmetic operators, and medical device specialists, the subsidiary manages medical product logistics in an environment with increasingly stringent requirements for traceability, safety, and temperature control. This move aims to strengthen the group's overall development in the healthcare sector, a market driven by growing medical demand and the evolving logistics of pharmaceuticals and dermocosmetics. The group is implementing an integrated solution that combines pharmaceutical logistics, temperature-controlled transport, and value-added services.

ID Logistics Healthcare currently operates five specialized facilities, with over 70,000 square meters of certified warehouses in Spain and Portugal, compliant with GDP and GMP standards, serving companies in the pharmaceutical, dermocosmetic, and consumer health product sectors. These facilities ensure warehousing and multi-channel distribution of pharmaceutical and medical products, serving hospitals, pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, dermocosmetic chains, specialized clinics, and patients. Product storage conditions range from ambient temperature control (+15 °C/+25 °C), cold storage (+2 °C/+8 °C), to other specific temperature requirements. The new subsidiary also offers value-added services such as secondary packaging, serialization, returns management, co-packing, and real-time logistics management through validated and integrated WMS and TMS systems.

The group is currently developing a new 71,000-square-meter logistics complex in Tórtola de Henares, in the Guadalajara region. This facility will include secure areas for sensitive and psychotropic drugs, temperature-controlled zones, and automated solutions, including the AutoStore system for unit picking. The complex will be equipped with 115,000 pallet positions, 68 loading docks, and will be powered by 100% clean energy, with operations scheduled to begin at the end of 2026. ID Logistics is also expanding in the Canary Islands, building a new 13,300-square-meter warehouse in the El Goro logistics park on Gran Canaria. This multi-client facility will achieve BREEAM Excellent certification, including temperature-controlled pharmaceutical areas and high-security spaces for sensitive products.
