en.Wedoany.com Reported - German railway technology company Vossloh has secured a contract to supply rail fastening systems for two new high-speed railway lines in Shandong Province, with a total order value of approximately €60 million.

The contract covers the Jinan-Zaozhuang and Qingdao-Zhucheng high-speed railway lines. The Jinan-Zaozhuang line, approximately 269 kilometers in length, connects the provincial capital Jinan with the southern Shandong region, passing through cultural tourism destinations such as Qufu along the route. The Qingdao-Zhucheng line, about 109 kilometers long, links the deep-water port of Qingdao with the industrial hub around Jinan and the southern part of Shandong Province. Both lines are designed for an operating speed of 350 km/h.
The project will utilize Vossloh's System 300 rail fastening system, specifically designed for high-speed railway applications on concrete slab tracks. This fastening system maintains rail stability under dynamic loads generated by high-speed train operations and meets track durability and long-term maintenance requirements. Rail fastenings are critical components of railway infrastructure, and their performance affects operational safety, ride quality, and infrastructure reliability of high-speed rail corridors.
The rail fastening systems will be manufactured at Vossloh's production facility in Kunshan, China, with delivery scheduled to begin in 2027, in sync with the construction plans of the two railway projects. Oliver Schuster, CEO of the Vossloh Group, stated that high-speed lines demand the highest quality and safety standards for all components, and the company is proud to once again participate in China's expansion plans for green mobility.
China operates the world's largest high-speed railway network, with an operational mileage exceeding 50,000 kilometers. Continuous new investment drives demand for components that meet the performance and reliability requirements of high-speed railway operations.
