en.Wedoany.com Reported - US-based HECO has acquired Reliability Concepts, LLC and Alignment Supplies, Inc. to expand its predictive maintenance services, vibration analysis capabilities, and industrial reliability product portfolio.
Headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the company provides equipment repair, field services, predictive maintenance, equipment management, and product sales through 10 service centers and regional hubs, serving industrial customers east of the Mississippi River. This acquisition marks HECO's fifth in the predictive maintenance and reliability market since 2013.
Reliability Concepts offers predictive maintenance and reliability services in the Midwest region, serving clients in foundries, metals, food processing, manufacturing, and other industrial sectors. The company also sells reliability products globally through e-commerce platforms and industry distribution networks. Following the acquisition, Reliability Concepts will be integrated into HECO's Predictive Service Group. According to HECO, it will continue to offer the company's existing products and expand sales, training, marketing, and technical support for the B.A.T. Belt Alignment Tool, DigiBelt, FIN-LOC, and related reliability products.
HECO President Justin Hatfield stated that this acquisition aims to strengthen the company's predictive maintenance team, expand practical reliability solutions for industrial customers, and complement the company's long-term strategy of supporting industrial maintenance and reliability programs. Among the products included in the acquisition, the B.A.T. Belt Alignment Tool is a laser system that helps maintenance teams more accurately align belt-driven equipment to reduce belt wear, bearing failures, vibration, energy loss, and unplanned downtime. The product line also includes DigiBelt for measuring belt tension and FIN-LOC for improving vibration data collection on finned equipment.
HECO noted that this acquisition also complements its broader investments in predictive maintenance and reliability technologies, including a partnership with Skyler to help industrial facilities transition from reactive maintenance practices to more connected reliability programs. Reliability Concepts founder Mike Olszewski pointed out that HECO aligns with the company's commitment to helping maintenance and reliability professionals solve real-world equipment challenges, and believes this acquisition will support the continued growth of the products, services, and customer relationships established by Reliability Concepts.
