The two sides exchanged views on the high-quality development of Yibin's light industry. Guo Qiang, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of the China National Light Industry Council, and Yue Peng, Deputy Director of the Yibin Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation and Emerging Industries, attended the meeting.

Tao Xuezhou expressed gratitude to the China National Light Industry Council for its long-term support for Yibin's light industries, including baijiu and power batteries. He stated that under the strategic guidance and resource coordination of the Council, Yibin has adhered to the "One Blue, One Green" development path. Clusters of distinctive light industries, led by flagship enterprises such as Wuliangye Group and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), are rapidly emerging. Major industry events like the World Power Battery Conference and the China International Famous Alcoholic Drinks Expo have been successfully held. Looking ahead, he hoped the Council would continue to enhance support in areas such as industrial planning formulation, skilled talent cultivation, distinctive regional economic development, and major exhibition and event organization. He also invited Council leaders to attend the 2026 World Power Battery Conference to be held in Yibin.

Liu Jiangyi welcomed Tao Xuezhou and his delegation and thanked the Yibin Municipal Party Committee and Government for their years of support for the work of the China National Light Industry Council. He pointed out that the Council places great importance on its strategic cooperation with Yibin. The thriving baijiu industry, led by Wuliangye, and the power battery industry, spearheaded by CATL, have injected momentum into regional development. With the Council having recently completed its leadership transition, it will continue to fulfill its service functions to help the regional industry reach new heights. Liu Jiangyi proposed three suggestions for deepening cooperation: continue to support specialized associations such as the China Alcoholic Drinks Association and the China Battery Industry Association in promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green development of Yibin's baijiu and power battery industries in areas like exhibitions, industrial planning, and technological innovation platform construction; strengthen support in technological innovation, quality standards, and skilled talent to help Yibin build world-class industrial clusters; and continuously deepen the regular coordination mechanism among the Council, local governments, and leading enterprises to jointly promote the high-quality development of Yibin's light industry.
