en.Wedoany.com Reported - OpenAI has launched the GPT-5.6 artificial intelligence model to the market, adopting a phased release strategy at the request of the U.S. government to avoid conflict with the Trump administration, drawing on the experiences of competitor Anthropic with its Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. The model offers three variants: Sol, Terra, and Luna, where Luna is the most cost-effective base model, Terra is a balanced mid-range configuration, and Sol is the top-tier performance model, featuring a new "Ultra" high-capacity mode for multi-agent parallel work.

In terms of performance, GPT-5.6 achieved a score of 53.6% in the Sol version on the Agents’ Last Exam, a long-term workflow evaluation test across 55 domains, outperforming competitor Claude Fable 5 by 13.1 percentage points. In programming tasks, Sol set a new record of 80% on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, surpassing Fable 5 by 2.8 percentage points, while consuming less than half the output tokens and reducing costs by approximately one-third.

OpenAI has also introduced the ChatGPT Work agent, which can transform scattered data into editable text documents, spreadsheets, or presentations across applications such as Slack, Notion, Microsoft 365, and Google Drive. Initially, this tool is available for macOS and Windows desktop applications, with a web version expected to launch soon.

The current artificial intelligence industry is highly competitive, with companies like Meta and xAI also updating their models this week. MagicPath AI CEO Pietro Schirano stated on social platform X that GPT-5.6 is the best model he has tested, excelling in speed and creativity. T3 Chat CEO Theo Browne called it "the global leader in human-computer interaction." Investor Matt Shumer noted that Fable 5 performed better in most tests. Every CEO Dan Shipper likened GPT-5.6 to a Porsche and Fable 5 to a "warp drive." Industry rumors suggest that both OpenAI and Anthropic plan to release new models, such as GPT-6.0 or Claude Fable 5.1, in the coming weeks or months.

Anthropic has expanded its autonomous AI agent, Claude Cowork, to support browsers and mobile devices through its official application, introducing a "Dispatch" feature for remote management via smartphones. Previously limited to computers, Claude Cowork can now run in the cloud for Max plan subscribers, continuing to perform complex tasks such as organizing files, building reports, or analyzing emails even when the user is offline or has shut down their computer.
