As the latest addition to ALMCO's Spiral Bottom Bowl (SBB) series, the SBB-8 features an 8-cubic-foot working capacity. The equipment provides a larger open area beneath the screen, facilitating part movement within the bowl during batch processing while reducing the tilt angle toward the screen during part discharge. SBB series machines are equipped with a processing chamber featuring continuous baffles and a longer internal screening section for effective part separation. The series is available in multiple sizes, and ALMCO can customize configurations based on end-user application requirements. When equipped with pneumatic discharge doors, these machines can be integrated into automated systems with minimal manual intervention.
After finishing in the SBB-8, parts enter the PW12 cleaning system. This system eliminates redundant part handling, staging, and transfer steps, reducing cycle times and the risk of ergonomic-related injuries. Continuous part flow within the operation improves throughput, reduces bottlenecks, and supports more predictable production scheduling. The PW12 can be designed with various conveyor belt widths and belt types, and can also be equipped with rust inhibitors and drying sections. Other system features include a variable-speed stainless steel conveyor system, a removable stainless steel chip tray, adjustable nozzles for 360-degree coverage, and heated cleaning and rinse tanks.
